Job Title: Receivables Clerk

Pay Type: Non-Exempt

Department: Credit and Collections

Reports to Title: Credit Manager



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist credit manager in collection efforts and maintaining up-to-date financial information on customers.
  • Pull DnB reports and credit references on new customers.
  • Help resolve deductions and overpayments
  • Run credit hold report and pull necessary customer files. File customer files when credit manager is finished with them.
  • Update customer files with updated financial information as needed. Fill out lien waivers as needed.
  • Run credit card payments as needed.
  • Send customers copies of requested invoices/credit memos Send out monthly statements.
  • Research open credit memos. Work unearned cash discounts.
  • Communicate with all customers through calls/emails in a professional and friendly manner. Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Basic computer skills a must but prefer intermediate level skill (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One to three years' experience in accounts receivable/credit.

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
