Applications Engineering is the primary technical resource for the inside and field sales force, responsible for actively driving and managing the technology or refrigeration system selection of the customer within the sales process. Provide accurate drawings based on the system selection and location. Working in conjunction with the sales team as one of the key technical advisors and product advocates. The Applications Engineering Technician II must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The Applications Engineering Technician II must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.



  • Ensure that the Applications Team maintain expert level of product knowledge and applications:

The ability to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users

Provide design, drawing and specification development support to Sales, Customer Care and ultimately the end-user.

Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs

Listen, understand and convey customer requirements

Assist with technical/ product training for sales people, reps & dealers at targeted accounts

  • Assist in the design and development of new products and tools
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company approved databases
  • Travel to project sites to assist in sales presentations, start-up, integration, and training



  • Assist in resolving sales or escalated customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives
  • Maintain professional business relationships internally and externally
  • Provide status of ongoing projects and future projects to Applications Engineering Manager
  • Identify customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth





  • BA/BS in Engineering, Technical Field, or equivalent successful experience in a similar industry role.
  • Experience - 5 Years in Engineering/Applications/Construction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio and AutoCAD, SolidWorks
  • Read architectural, mechanical and electrical blueprints and have a solid understanding of refrigerated solutions
  • A solid understanding of walk-in's, panels, design, panel construction and installation
  • Effective communication, Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Available for Travel up to 25%



  • Customer Care or Sales Support experience.
  • Proven Project Management skills.
  • Application Programming Experience
